On December 10th, Synapse Films unleashes The Block Island Sound from directors Kevin and Matthew McManus on 4K UHD and Blu-ray.
Strange things are happening on the remote Block Island Sound. Harry (Chris Sheffield, The Maze Runner) notices that his father Tom (Neville Archambault,
Solomon Grundy) is starting to act very differently, becoming forgetful
and angry, and taking his fishing boat out in the middle of the night.
It’s also alarming that birds and fish have been dying around the
island. Harry’s marine biologist sister Audry (Michaela McManus, Into the Grizzly Maze, TV's The Orville)
arrives on the island to investigate the wildlife deaths for the
Environmental Protection Agency. She brings along her daughter to enjoy
island life with her family. Audry’s research exposes chilling truths
about the strange occurrences in the area and her family. Are the
unimaginable calamities being caused by man’s interference, nature
running amok, or something beyond?
Emmy nominated writer/producers Kevin and Matthew McManus (American Vandal, Cobra Kai) created a potent blend of ecological and cosmic horror in The Block Island Sound.
4K UHD and Blu-ray special features for The Block Island Sound include audio commentary with directors Kevin McManus and Matthew McManus,
behind-the-scenes featurettes about the production, McManus Family Home
Movies, and the original trailer. The 4K UHD also includes a
limited-edition slipcover.
