The film follows Cole, a timid and awkward 12 year old Cole. Cole is a target of bullies because of his timid nature. Cole is deeply infatuated with his cool babysitter Bee. While Cole’s parents are out of town, Bee and Cole are having a light-hearted teenage fantasy, doing the coolest things. That night, Cole stays up to spy on Bee and her friends, as suggested by his friend Melanie. What he sees turns his dream day into a nightmare. Bee and her friends are part of a satanic cult and have sinister intentions. First they kill a guy that comes to their little party. Then they take some of Cole’s blood. When the pure blood is mixed with a dead person’s blood, your wishes come true. The rest of the film has the cult trying to capture Cole.

Her ability to embody both the innocent and sinister aspects of Bee contributes significantly to the film’s tension and humor. Judah Lewis portrays Cole. His performance captures the essence of a young adolescent grappling with insecurities and bravery as he navigates the chaos unleashed by Bee and the cult.
The Babysitter is a uniquely entertaining film that blends horror and comedy in an engaging way. It promises to be an enjoyable viewing experience. Whether you’re a fan of horror, comedy or simply looking for something fun to watch, The Babysitter will not disappoint.
